About the Artist
Clare Blackwell is an artist and art educator, specialising in illustration and screen-printing. Clare creates unique and colourful screen-prints on paper and textiles inspired by themes including pop culture, vintage graphics and illustration. Drawing and colour theory influence Clare’s printmaking process.
About the Project
Damn Fine Print proudly presents a new collection of works by members and contributors to showcase some of the talent and creativity we’ve seen in our studio recently.
Entitled ‘Irish Summer’, the collection draws upon a range of moods and memories to try and illustrate the fleeting joys and halcyon days of an Irish summer holiday.
We’ve brought together some established artists, familiar names and new talents to present a snapshot of where we’re all at creatively after exploring 2021’s once-in-a-lifetime, government-mandated ‘outdoor summer’.
